The EasyFeed uses a flexible underwire. This matters because the reason your midwife or LC told you to avoid underwire during breastfeeding is specifically about rigid underwire, metal that holds a fixed position against your breast tissue regardless of how your body changes. That fixed pressure point restricts milk flow through your ducts. Restricted flow causes pooling. Pooling causes clogs. Clogs cause mastitis.

How to wash:
Step 1: Pop them in a cold, gentle machine wash. (Pro-tip: Use a mesh laundry bag to keep the straps from getting tangled).
Step 2: Use a mild detergent. Skip the bleach and fabric softeners as they can mess with the absorbent lining.
Step 3: Air dry is best to keep the stretch "snappy," but you can tumble dry on low heat if you're in a pinch.
